The relay board is losing track of the oven door switches. The wording differs slightly by model: freestanding 790 ranges mention the door lock switches, and Elite slide-in ranges (790.4131, 790.4255, 790.5256) mention both the oven door switch and the door lock switch.
Order of work
Power to the range is disconnected first. The wiring from the door lock to the relay control board is inspected, as is the door switch wiring on the Elite, with loose wires reconnected and damaged harnesses replaced. Switch operation is then tested by a technician using a multimeter, which leads to a new door lock assembly or door switch if the switch fails. When wires and switches test fine, the relay control board is replaced.
