A failed oven door lock is reported as F95 on two kinds of Kenmore range: electric freestanding models with a glass touch panel, and Elite slide-in gas or dual-fuel models with these numbers: 790.4276, 790.4275, 790.4261, 790.4260, 790.3264 and 790.3263.
Slide-in gas and dual-fuel: power reset and lock tests
Start by cutting power, waiting half a minute and switching it on again. Then activate the lockout feature or run a clean cycle to see whether the lock engages. A door stuck shut should release with the cancel button. If the lock motor makes no sound, unplug the range and inspect how the harness meets the door lock assembly and the oven control board; tighten what is loose and replace a damaged harness. A good harness leads to a new door lock assembly, and then to the relay control board if the fault remains.
Glass touch electric: shorter sequence
Unplug the range. Look over the harness joining the oven door lock assembly and the electronic oven control board. If it is sound, replace the lock assembly, and if the code returns, replace the electronic oven control board.
